B3nji is my music project.
An exploration of hip-hop and it's various subgenres as a half-Japanese guy who grew up in the Southwest.
As B3nji, I have been fortunate enough to perform on The Voice UK, at Glastonbury Festival and overseas, with the support of organisations including ITV, Bristol Beacon, Big Team CIC and University of Bristol.

Back to basics. Stripped back. Back to my roots. Back.
My latest EP, released after a long period of social media silence, is essentially a reset. Created in collaboration with childhood friend Sotiris Perdikeas, this EP’s takes us back to my musical roots. In an industry where everything is performative, I want to take you backstage, musically and emotionally, to focus on the process rather than the product.
The EP is a patchwork of ideas and influences. With themes of masculinity, mental health and connection, the lyrics follow the highs and lows, front and back, of my experiences since leaving Bristol, travelling and moving away from friends and family.
